Hill is currently offering suitable individuals the opportunity to become a crucial part of our team. As a Production Engineer you will operate within the production engineering team and operations staff.
Responsibilities:
- Understand work holding principles, design new tooling and fixtures where necessary using 3D/2D CAD Software.
- Develop manufacturing processes through from concept to completed fully validated components.
- To read and understand engineering CAD drawings with a keen eye for detail.
- To have the understanding of how to transfer the data on drawings to create BOMs and routings on an ERP system.
- Develop strategies for efficient and lean manufacturing processes.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- An engineering degree relevant to the role.
- Over 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Experience working in the aerospace sector.
- Must have a creative approach, good attention to detail, and be capable of working to high quality standards and tight tolerances.
- Must have knowledge of the aerospace sector.
- Proven skills, knowledge and experience in understanding CAD drawings.
The successful candidate must have a degree in engineering and a considerable amount of work experience, strong communication skills, and be capable of working alone and as a team.
This role requires a motivated, self-sufficient and fastidious engineer who is comfortable taking responsibility for delivery of both the complete analysis and analysis-led optimisation of key aircraft systems, while working effectively as part of our multi-disciplinary team.
